Noah Wilkinson’s Basketball Journey
My Journey

Welcome.
I am Noah Wilkinson, a 6’2″ Combo Guard from the UK, Class of 2027.
After dedicating time to elite trampolining and becoming the Eastern Region champion, I realised that I no longer wanted to pursue the sport and wanted to play basketball.
I started on the Hoopsters community programme (run by Essex Rebels Juniors) in September 2021 and, after a handful of sessions, I was asked to join the Essex Rebels U14 Junior National League Squad.
I made my debut on the 20th of November, 2021, in an away game at Cambridge Cats.
From there, I secured a place in the Essex Rebels U16 Junior National League Squad and had the privilege of being coached by Luke Busumbru. Under his mentorship, I averaged 16.6 points a game and finished the 2023/24 season as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
My passion to play led me to join Sledgehammers Basketball Club for the season 2022/23, playing in the Suffolk Division 2 Men’s League. Here, I gained a lot of experience playing a more physical game.
In 2023/24, I was asked to play for both the Sledgehammers 1 and 2, competing in Suffolk Division 1 and Division 2. I helped Sledgehammers 2 win the Division 2 Play-offs and secured the award for scoring the most 3-pointers in Division 2. This led to being awarded the Sledgehammers 2 MVP and Junior Player of the Year.
In May 2024, I was selected to be part of the Essex County U17 Team to compete in the Inter-County Tournament against Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Beating Norfolk in the final of the tournament held on 7th July 2024. In May 2025, I was selected to be part of the Suffolk County U17 Team for the same tournament, where we finished runners-up.
In May 2024, I was offered a place at the Copleston Basketball Academy. Since September 2024, I have been part of the Copleston Elite Academy League (EABL) U19’s Squad and the Eastern Premier U18’s Squad, under Head Coach Nick Drane.
In 2026, I was blessed to receive offers from a number of US colleges. However, I have made the decision to spend the 2026/2027 season at Erie Prep Academy as part of their post-grad programme.
Under Coach Briski and Coach Daniels, I will be able to continue to develop physically and learn the US style of play, while continuing my education and gaining a fantastic life experience.
Erie Prep compete in a 40-game national schedule, which is similar to the demands of a college season. This will mean I will be ready for the academic and athletic demands of a student-athlete in the Fall of 2027.
